STEPHEN RODGERS

Stephen Rodgers is associate professor of music theory and musicianship at the University of Oregon. Prior to coming to Oregon in 2005, he received his Ph.D. in music theory from Yale University and degrees in English and music from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. A specialist in nineteenth-century music, he has published widely on text-music relations, program music, rhythm and meter, and musical form. Rodgers is also active as a tenor, having performed several lecture-recitals throughout the United States.
