My name is Ryan Dixon, and I am from Eugene, Oregon.  I am currently a senior Choral Music Education student at the University of Oregon.  This is my second year in Vox Resonat.  Having the opportunity to grow up in Eugene was fantastic because of all of the musical opportunities available.  As a high school student I was a member of the Stangeland Family Youth Choral Academy at the Oregon Bach Festival.  It was there where I learned a lot about myself as a musician, and as a person.  This opportunity was the springboard for me to want to pursue a career in choral conducting.
At the University of Oregon I have sung in University Singers, Men’s Choir, and Chamber Choir.  I was fortunate enough to be a member of Chamber Choir during the 2010-2011 season when we traveled to Tallinn, Estonia to participate in the Tallinn International Choral Festival.  We did quite well at this festival, and I had the experience of a lifetime!

When I am not studying, practicing, or in rehearsal, I enjoy hiking, bike riding, and playing basketball and golf.  Every once in a while it is nice to take a break from my musical endeavors and let off some steam. As a member of Vox Resonat, I have grown immensely as a singer and musician. It has been wonderful to be among such talented singers. I enjoy feeding off of their energy in rehearsals and concerts, and I look forward to the future of this ensemble.
